FWIW # 17 More Than You Think August 2021

Some analysts say President Biden is incompetent.

They are wrong.

Some media people say President Biden has dementia.

They are wrong.

Some politicians say he doesn’t listen to his intelligence experts.

They are wrong.

President Biden knows exactly what he has done in Afghanistan, just as he knows what he has done at the southern border, what his policies have done to accelerate crime in our cities, what he has done to muddle up the Covid-19 vaccinations, and what his policies and actions have done to keep the Federal Reserve monetizing the deficit spending. Never forget it was candidates Joe Biden and Kamala Harris who stated over and over in the summer and fall of 2020 that they would not trust a vaccine developed under President Donald Trump.

None of the apparent spinning out of control or the appearance of disastrous decisions is the result of rookie mistakes or incompetence.

Before the 2020 election, FBI Director Christopher Wray clearly said the number one terror threat to the United States was white supremacists. Think about that statement. Forget about the Mexican drug cartels and their fentanyl, forget about the Taliban, forget about the Iran-sponsored terrorist organizations, forget about Al Qaeda, forget about Antifa, and forget about Black Lives Matter, the latter two of which rioted, burned, and looted cities in this country with impunity. Did Wray know something about the 2020 election none of us knew? White supremacists did not burn down the cities in 2019-2020, causing untold damages, deaths, and permanent losses of businesses and jobs. White supremacists do not ambush police officers, killing dozens. White supremacists do not kill each other and innocent children every weekend in our major cities. White supremacists do not take over sections of our cities, keeping the police out and destroying communities. White supremacists do not attack defenseless senior citizens in major cities for the thrill. What is Wray’s perspective to make such a statement?

After the 2020 election and before the Georgia Senate runoffs, Senate leader Chuck Schumer gloated on television that the Democrats were going to take Georgia and then change America. Is his prophecy coming true?

On January 6, 2021, a mostly white crowd rioted at the Capitol. They were just as wrong as the Antifa and BLM crowds that destroyed so many cities. The difference is the officials have arrested many of these violent Capitol demonstrators, while no one has arrested the arsonists and looters from the rampage across the country in 2020. Interesting, isn’t it?

Former President Trump sealed his fate to be a former politician on January 6. I have

read his speech that day several times. He did not incite the crowd to go riot. Every person, however, has a fatal flaw of some kind or another. His fatal flaw is believing that he is bigger than the system and that by doing what is right for the country, he would be protected from his own ego and crude behavior toward opponents. He should never have allowed the rally or spoken to the crowd. While he did not say anything that could be characterized as inciting to riot, he deliberately chose that day with its potential to disrupt the certification of Joe Biden’s election. Foolishly, he played right into the hands of his opponents, and, at the same time, doomed any future run for office.

The likelihood of a rigged 2020 election in key states is very high. If the election were truly on the up and up, the Democrats would be demanding vote audits in these states to put the nails in Trump’s political coffin and show that Republicans are just sore losers. Democrats are not. They are fighting tooth and nail to keep audits from happening. Joe Biden is the president. Nothing can change that, no matter what any audits find. Trump should have known he wasn’t the first candidate to lose a rigged presidential election. Truman beat Dewey in 1948 with the now-bragged-about help of the Chicago political machine and mob bosses. Kennedy beat Nixon with the same Illinois voting schemes and with his father going around to certain states with suitcases full of cash. Many people believe the “hanging chads” in Florida were caused by operatives tilting the election for George W. Bush. These are only the obvious and better-known manipulations of presidential elections.

No matter how manipulated the election, Joe Biden and the Democratic Party put together a coalition of global businesses, labor unions, lobbyists, and their clients who have a vested interest in maintaining the status quo in Washington, both progressives and independents. He used the Covid-19 crisis, his supporters’ burning and looting the cities, and the hatred of Donald Trump by Washington insiders to turn voters away from the sitting president. What is most interesting, and little known today, is several of President Trump’s domestic and foreign policies are being quietly continued by the Biden administration. The most visible policies, however, are being reversed. America is no longer energy independent. Over 1 million illegal immigrants have entered the country since Biden scrapped the Trump border policies. While professing the need for everyone to get vaccinated, Biden’s administrations and their hired non-governmental organizations (NGOs) have allowed unvaccinated and Covid-19-positive illegal immigrants to flood this country, moving them on buses and planes to many states, fully knowing 8% to 10% of these illegal immigrants are Covid contagious. If the estimates put out by the administration and their hired NGOs are correct, over 80,000 Covid-positive people have been intermingled with the population. No one in the media, the administration, or the medical community will admit that this latest surge in the Delta variant is partially caused by the deliberate disbursement of infected illegal immigrants into the population. Last week a case of the Covid-19 Lambda variant was detected in Wisconsin. Prior to now, the Lambda variant was only found in South America. Is anyone tracing to see if the variant resulted from dispersion of immigrants from the southern border?

The situation in Afghanistan is not the same outcome as would have happened under President Trump. Trump’s agreement to withdraw was condition based, and it was to take place before the fighting season (in Afghanistan, the fighting season begins late April and goes till October). US forces, under Trump’s agreement, would have been gone by May 1. Second, the Taliban agreed to negotiate with the Afghan government and not try to militarily take over the country. President Biden failed to live up to the US commitments in the agreement and to hold the Taliban to the agreement. Did he or his advisors know the importance of leaving before the fighting season began? It’s a lie to say the intelligence agencies did not know what the Taliban was doing these last seven months. As the news media has stated, the Taliban matériel and fighters from Pakistan had to come across into Afghanistan at a single checkpoint. The intelligence agencies knew what was coming long before the US gave up Bagram air base on July 5. Why did the president make the decision to abandon that base when he did? Why did he choose to go against the established and correct order for withdrawing people, matériel, and then troops? Now that the Taliban and ISIS K have rubbed the US’s nose in the manure the president, his national security team, and the generals in the Pentagon have created, how much lower can our country sink? What will be the outcome of the way this withdrawal was handled? No one knows, but the ramifications will not be confined to military and foreign policy sectors.

People are excited by the continued surge in the stock market. That’s good for many people, particularly those participating in pension plans in which formerly large funding deficits are being narrowed. But what about those who do not own any stocks? What about pensioners and others who rely on a fixed income? What about younger families who just make ends meet, but are now experiencing serious inflation in their daily expenses? Never forget that approximately 45% of Americans do not own any stocks in any way. What is going to happen to these citizens as their savings are eroded by inflation at the same time their expenses are going up steadily? The stock market and real estate surges are the direct result of monetary policy flooding the economy with excess liquidity and the fiscal deficit spending being monetized by the Fed. That’s why inflation is higher than expected. That’s why it will persist and not be transitory. That’s why many in society will feel threatened by governmental policies.

Look at each of these policy decisions together: (1) allowing crime in the cities, (2) botching the Covid-19 vaccinations, (3) allowing the teachers’ unions to delay returning to the classrooms when it is clearly shown that a generation of students is being educationally crippled, (4) allowing a surge in illegal immigration through the southern border, (5) improperly withdrawing from Afghanistan, and (6) deliberately debasing the dollar’s value. Oh, yes, add to these policy decisions forcing the government, military, and large corporate supporters of the administration to teach Critical Race Theory (CRT), as well as teaching the incorrect 1619 history in our schools. What is the common thread?

To understand the answer to that question, an observer must look back in history. In the 1920s and 1930s, Germany, Austria, and Hungary were reeling from losing the First World War. Their populations were politically divided between the socialists and communists on the left and the conservative nationalists on the right. Their economies were experiencing high export industries employment because their currencies had collapsed relative to other currencies. The unions and industrialists kept the purchasing power of the workers’ pay close to steady as the spiraling, inflationary destruction of their currencies continued. At the same time, middle class citizens, particularly the elderly, young, and those who did not own foreign securities, were financially devastated as their food, rents, medicine, and other essentials increased in price while their savings declined in value due to inflation.

Gangs, some from the political left and some from the political right, roamed the cities’ streets. Eventually, the authorities signaled that the gangs should fight it out. The right-wing gangs dominated and restored law and order. Along with that resolution came autocratic government. Fast-forward to today. This past week in Portland, Oregon, Antifa rioters clashed with the Proud Boys white militia, both sides now using guns. The authorities say they don’t have the resources to intervene.

Today, autocratic governments are on the rise around the world while democracies flounder. More than any other country, China holds itself out as a model autocratic government that can get things done, improve its population’s welfare, and address inequality in its society. Democracies are viewed as weak and corrupt, with wealth going to a few while the majority are left behind.

Stop and view the broad picture of what is going on in this country rather than looking at the individual disasters. The American image, both within the country and among our friends and adversaries, is being systematically eroded by the policies of this administration. No wonder the FBI believes the primary terrorists are white citizens who believe in the military, the flag, the national anthem, the pledge of allegiance, and this beautiful country. I’ve got news for the FBI: the people who believe in this country include most Americans of every skin color and ancestry. What is developing is not the mistakes and incompetency of Joe Biden. He’s not that smart, nor strong-willed. It is a deliberate series of actions by globalists, open-border advocates, multinational corporations, and the Washington lobbyists and insiders to undermine the patriotism of citizens, erode confidence in our political system, and bring the majority of the population to a point where they welcome an autocratic Washington establishment’s control over the country’s public and private institutions. Think I’m wacko? In seven months, we are no longer energy independent and property rights have been severely crimped by allowing debtors to not pay their debts and renters to not pay their rent, and by blocking property owners from evicting non-paying tenants. Some or all of these policies are unconstitutional, yet the administration, while knowing this, has implemented them anyway. In addition, there is a move underway in Congress to change laws governing elections to make it easier to cheat. If all these actions are not the beginning of autocratic government, I don’t know what is.

This FWIW was not the regular #17 I wanted. This essay was in response to current events taking place now. Originally, I had scheduled a much longer FWIW entitled Connect The Dots. It will be published in a few weeks.

By September 30, 2021, the long awaited novel will be published and available on e-book sites, Amazon, and available for special order from your favorite book store. Over the last two years the title has morphed to CHANGE HAPPENS But Will They Understand? If you read fiction, buy a copy, You may find it engrossing, enlightening, controversial, but pleasant to read. In the back of the book is a Readers’ Guide for book club discussions. Virtual book club presentations, readings, and Q & A sessions are available.

Along with 107 SECRETS TO SUCCESS FOR THE GRADUATE both of these works will make very nice Christmas or Hanukkah presents.
